COMMUNITY HEALTH BULLETIN – TEAM MEMBER CORONAVIRUS DIAGNOSIS AT THE CANTERBURY
A team member of The Canterbury has tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19. The person has been off work for more than 14 days in accordance with our travel policy. This person started experiencing symptoms while off work and had a test administered by a private physician. The results came back positive today.
Because the team member has been away from work for more than two weeks, there was no significant exposure to residents or other team members. The team member has been self-isolating and will continue to do so for at least 14 days since the onset of symptoms. This person will not return to work until having two consecutive negative results for tests administered at least 24 hours apart.
In addition to weekly staff testing, all residents of The Canterbury will be offered testing every two weeks until we have two rounds with no new positive results. We encourage all residents to participate.
Along with testing, using the precautions available including wearing a mask, washing your hands and maintaining physical distance from others continues to be our best strategies to protect yourself and others.
